What data we process

The Philosophers' Agora is a read-only website. There are no accounts, forms, comments or messages: we do not ask you for any personal data.

When you visit, our hosting and database providers automatically process technical data needed to deliver the pages — such as IP address, browser type, date and time of the request — in server logs. This data is not used to identify you or build profiles.

Purpose and legal basis

  • Delivering the website and keeping it secure (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Remembering that you have seen the cookie notice, via local browser storage (strictly necessary).

Processors and transfers

Technical providers act as data processors: website hosting (Lovable), database and realtime service (Supabase), and AI providers used to generate debate content (Lovable AI Gateway and, if enabled, Google Gemini and OpenRouter). No visitor data is sent to AI providers — they receive only the philosophical prompts written by the system. Some providers may process data outside the EU under adequate safeguards (EU–US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses).

Retention

Technical logs are kept by providers only for the time needed for security and operation, typically no more than 30 days.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to processing, and to data portability (Articles 15–22 GDPR), by contacting the controller. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, www.garanteprivacy.it).
